Doing buisiness in India

Corrupt bureaucracy and politicians are the main hurdles to start business in India. Corrupt politicians elected to the local self govt. institutions poses a serious threat to the survival of industrial units.

The present panchayat Raj act should be amended to avoid the unnecessary interference of local self govt. institutions in the affairs of industries.

At present most of the members elected to such bodies are unqualified and having no technical background. However they enjoy unlimited powers and even state govt. cannot control them. more

Thank you very much Mr. Rohan Chakraborty and Mr. Krishna Chandra Mahapatra. It is high time the governments should fix some basic qualifications for the candidates, who wish to be elected as peoples representatives. Any illiterate person can become a politician. But such a person should not be elevated to a powerful position, like the representative of the people. more
I agree with Mr. Emmanual Varghese this poor situation in our country. Where ever a govt permission is required, the officers pose big hurdle. That's the reason we can't grow. For a simple marriage certificate issue the officer asked bribe same amount as application money and I had to pay. For renewal of passport, airport entry pass the police takes a bribe , and without this they will never give a clearance. This can be verified. more
Very Much Agree with Mr. Emmanual Varghese & Mr. BV Rao ( with same issue in his thread), its really a practical need to combat illiteracy & bad governance too.. this will also combat internally for any misrepresentation or higher level computation. Same as we have seniormost & decision makers in private corporates with required knowledge, exposure & educational qualification to proper smooth & effective functioning in all aspect. If we can give examples of Steve Jobs & Bill Gates, than also we need to follow the rule of private corporate world for Performance Enhancement & Development of all aspects. In a Disguise , this kind of strengthening the political senario will not only help getting unqualified / corrupt / illiterate to Try to get selected for Country's senior-most profiles & Ministries. Hence , we can have Good Governance & un-corrupted Nation. more
