DON’T LET POLITICIANS INTO SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

A Chennai based engineering college has thought it fit to invite a cinema actor and self proclaimed politician to speak to the students.

Of course, the actor spoke which was widely covered in sensational mongering TV media and newspapers. As expected, the actor spoke on cinema and politics and spoke little about scholarly subjects like economics, science, technology etc. in which he may not have much knowledge

Many people think that politicians are responsible for several negative things in Tamil Nadu including widespread corruption and nepotism.

Why invite such people to speak to the students in the college premises? Probably, this has happened as many private colleges in Tamil Nadu are run by politicians , business men and their family members.

It is sad that knowledgeable intelligentia and people with wisdom in Tamil Nadu do not anymore find importance in educational institutions.

Students today need role models and politicians do not belong to this class.

I think TN is the leader in inviting Movie actors for anything and everything. Inviting celebrities to educational institutes is such a shame. They should invite academicians or govt officials who can guide the students... but the sad thing is the media will not cover if a academician or senior govt employee attends an event.. they are always running for sensational news... more
I brutally blame the parents . they must agitate for such this will spoil the mind of their kids . neither politics not cini should be a role model for the kids. this fellow may even teach how to kiss or how to divroce and marry many girls or boys etc etc.. so colleges and schools must invite only officials of high morale IAS, IPS , all India Athlete, Olympians , entrepreneurs achievers etc etc.. to motivate the youths towards achievers of their future. more
Schools owned by politicians to be totally banned.Big corporates & Independent philonthropists unaffiliated to any party or party leaders only to be allowed. Like privy purse passed after independance, these schools to be taken over. more
In TN many schools & colleges are owned by politician and actor. So their management has to so loyalty to the people in those field. All those who invites such unworthy people (sometime a politician or an actor may good as such invitee) they know that it is just for show & appeasement but they do it for compulsion. more
Agreed. most colleges/universities in TN are owned by politicians. So they would invite their peers for such events. They are least bothered about the quality of educatiion. more
Being educated alone is not an unmixed virtue. What education did Kamaraj have? Till date he remains the best CM the State has had. It is the absence of focus on self and the attitude of service to the people without expecting anything in return including votes is the key. How many such people are in politics today? Politics has become a career today – the most sought after – to make quick big money for self and family for the next 7 generations! more
