8. Uneducated people consider a bride a source of income
9. Anti-dowry laws have not been strictly implemented
10. Sometimes dowry is demanded on the basis of expenses incurred n boy's education
11. Lack of education for girls
12. Lack of gender equality.

Laws alone cannot remove the menace of dowry. Only when the male is unable to get a bride, the practice will go. more

The issue of Dowry in India had been replaced with the issue of individual wealth of Couple defying FAMILY Structure and is persistent mostly in Educated and Modern Life Style mongers. girl focus on boy earning and father wealth. Boy focus on girl earning and father wealth. Both family focus on money. This is marriage of money. This is not marriage of boy and girl. Girl demand money and jewellery from husband. Boy demand money from father inlaw. both are not focus on love, soul partner ship, care or deep relationship. People do not know what is the purpose of marriage. Marriage means is not demand, but marriage means dissolve. I can map out what is the purpose of marriage than all dispute of money dowry will end. more

Dowry wrongly understood by gov. and peoples. this is the cause of problems. Dowry is money of share of daughter in the wealth of her parents. At the time of marriage this money given. Just like a business a new partner added, he pay goodwill. This iis legal. The problem is this that this money has to be in the name of woman. There is another system which is HUF. ( hindu undivided family ) This is because far farmers. They do not sale purchase their land in the past. They grow crops and earn money. So they take care their girl after marriage also. Even the death of married girl, the last funeral wood also give by her brother. In this system no dowry exchange. HUF also accepted in legal and income tax law. There is other system also. In indian old system there is 8 types of marriage written. So without dowry marriage also written. There is two issue. One is dowry and another is share of daughter in wealth of parents. there is another issue of divorce where money also paid to wife. Govt. has spoiled the game. Therefore lots of dispute and legal case. dowry increased many fold. Dowry death also increased. False dowry case also filed by women. I can give proper system if a team is formed for drafting new law. All dispute will be solved. more
