Why is the MCD not focused on cleaning drains. It rained yesterday and today and we have a major water logging problem again?

Drains in Delhi are divided between MCDs and PWD. eVERYONE CLAIMS TO HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB OF DESILTING THE DEAINS IN THEIR TERRITORY. But this is usually a bluff! What is to be done to make these people accountable? There should be strict punishment by deduction from their salaries in case their claims turn out to be false. In this our political representatives must take responsibility to take such strict action and not just keep quite and wait for next year:s mess to take place. Why is CM of DELHI and BJP President of Delhi not taking any action? Unfortunately ,for them this will not bring any votes. So poor people of DELHI have to continue to suffer! more

You said it Mr Mehta. I have seen residents covering up drains to privatise the space outside their homes. I have seen residents filling up the drain and planting saplings almost 30 years ago, which have now full grown Ashoka trees. It is said: We get what we deserve. Do we really have to get what we deserve, because of actions of a few!! more

They are getting salaries and benefits without doing good job honestly. They are not taking any accountability. more
