Drawbacks if Jallikattu is banned
2. Already one part of Tamil Nadu has lost one of the cow breed. If these festivals has been banned then many more cow breeds, and the few genes (hormones which exist in a cow to fight) of the cows (in case of Hens too, Hens based games are also being stopped) will disappear which is a great loss in terms of Bio-Diversity. The question of the people was what is the necessary for the Jersey breed cow to get imported from the foreign countries? It was also told that the medical expenses for the jersey breed are very high even that is being imported from the other countries. The climatic condition of India suit our breed cows and not for the jersey type cows which suits foreign climates. When there is increase in import of these things then the import will exceed more than export which leads to decrease in economical growth of India which is now moving towards the slogan “Make in India”.
3. Even in Olympics there are controversies of liquor and performance enhanced drugs, whether those games in Olympics are being banned?? The steps to eradicate these problems are only sorted.
4. The current procedure of the Jallikattu has enhanced the Team work and skill development of the people who involve in catching the Bulls. i.e., when a cow comes out of the room to the ground, People their watches the way the bulls come out. Different bulls have different way of fighting.
One type of bulls will protect them by throwing the people sitting on their top, still if the guy is able to control the bull is efficiency of finishing the job even after many struggle is proved.
Few of the bull’s defenses towards left hand side and few defenses on their right hand side and all this will be unanalyzed by the players who are mostly youngsters (if wanted please do not allow married men to participate) and team work of analyzing the bull will be done so as to make one of the guy to catch the bull.
5. Since people who care bulls know how to take care of the Bulls, when the same bulls are being watched by the doctors who treat animals then there will be increase in employment in that field. Few of the employment opportunities can be created and the skill development of the youngsters can be enhanced.
6. It was told by many people that even car race is very risky and the people who die are not being published. People who play cricket, foot ball, hockey, etc are they not undergoing physical problems. What is the life existence of the people who play these games very rudely and what are the physical problems they are undergoing? The way foot ball was played hurts many people and they even died but the rules made the game exist till date. Why not the same steps not taken for this jallikattu. The betting which takes place in games like cricket are being accepted why the same not being done in case of Jallikattu??
7. It was told that 3 bulls were died in Jallikattu. Whether reasons for the death is identified. Is the mistake made by the doctor who failed to report about the bulls health or by the players who did not follow the rules?? Depending upon this the rules of the Jallikattu can be changed as government does in all other games particularly in case of Foot Ball, Hockey. Etc.
There are much more positives if Jallikattu is not banned and lot of other losses the country might face if Jallikattu is Banned. Hope Supreme Court and the government should think about the positive side of these festivals and allow this in the future.
According to me the PETA should not only ensure the count of the cow is not getting reduced, but should also look after whether breeds and their heritage behavior are being maintained. This is something like though we have many hybrid plants we still fight to safe guard the original breed of plants which can produce the fruit with complete nutrition that a man can consume to keep himself healthy.
These are based on my analysis and people's feed back. Few experts have data that supports to continue Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu. Then on what basis Supreme court has banned this festival of heritage??? more
