Attached is the drug and magic
remedies act. Where sadhu and yogi babas, acharyas and some even large corporates make misleading claims and give misleading ads fooling public while the self governing industry body for misleading ads turns a blind eye.

Latest is the corona remedy. Can consumer affairs department do something about enforcement of this act properly or revise this act?? more

we need to understand one thing, there is no vaccine that will cure COPID 19. Under these circumstances even if HCQ is to be given the consent from the patient is taken. Hence no body can forcefully give any medicine for COVID 19. If some body takes any medicine it will be at their own peril. No mfgr will take responsibility and there will be a precautionary caveat. Unless we see what approval any mfgr has taken from ICMR we cannot comment. There are so many advts which are misleading. However if we study the fine lines, no body can sue that company re their claim. Hence we need to see the claim, understand, and then comment so that our objection is effective and tenable. If we are sure why post Anonymously. Be bold. more
Latest update from Ayush As per Patanjali's application, we issued them license. They didn't mention coronavirus, we only approved license for immunity booster, cough and fever. We'll issue them a notice asking how they got permission to make the kit (for COVID-19)," YS Rawat, Licence Officer at the Uttarakhand Ayurveda Department, was quoted as telling news agency ANI. Ayush Minister Shripad Naik said this morning it is a "good thing" that Ramdev has given the country a new medicine but it needs proper permission from his Ayush Ministry. Patanjali sent documents related to the medicines only yesterday to the ministry, he confirmed. "Anyone can make medicines. Anyone who wants to make medicines has to go through the Ayush ministry task force. Everyone has to send details of the research to the Ayush ministry for confirmation. This is the rule and no can advertise their products without it," the minister said. more

India has the best Rules and Law . And are the poorest in implementing due to various reasons . All the health drinks and juices have very tall claims , has there been any clims realized . At least have the using public tried to asses . Now it has come to a bigger area of Pandemic ; even the the most experienced and respected heads of Medical Institutions have only said that trials are on . And in some mild cases some improvement is seen . Untill these doctors say emphatically that this is the Drug of Choice it shouldn't be branded as a remedy for a disease . The patients and the public Health situations shouldnt be exploited by the Profiteering companies resorting to Magic Remedies claims. Government and the Drug Department has all the powers to pull up such Manufacturers and advertisers. more
There can be no magic in remedy in eradication of coronavirus. A drug should be invented after proper testing in any of the laboratories by scientists. more
