Forget about fruits even for medicines almost all medical shops doesn't give bill and only authorised retailers only issue bills, and it is mandatory to issue bill for medicines and it is compulsory to mention date of manufct, expiry date on the bill but none follow the rules !! all floating and now need to see how they go forward in GST era !!!!! more

Simple solution. Buy branded and packed dry fruits. But most people won't do that, because those could be costlier than unbranded products. So? The solution lies within ourselves. more

Branded Dry fruits sell 2 times the price of the item.
MRP cannot be fixed on all commodities. Fruits , vegetables are durable products price depends on quality and may vary from place to place more

I agree that branded products are safer to buy. But, even the general sellers should be answerable to their clients; they cannot sell expired or rotten items. more

Question is that a seller should give a bill against the purchase. and should pay the tax to the govt. Once he give a bill he will be held responsible for the quality. If every seller gives bill more tax will be collected and the burden on present taxpayer will reduce. more
