My experience with airtel
a. They attract us by giving good channel package for a reasonable monthly subscription
b. After few months they keep hiking the subscription fees by showing clauses in the agreement and saying operational cost has been increasing.
c. This hike frequency is every three-four months, I dont understand how operational cost increases every three months!!!
d. We can cancel their services but the set top box that we pay Rs2000/- odd becomes obsolete. This is the trick that these companies use .
e. I request the consumer affairs dept. to look into these and make sure that the set top box is compatible with all service providers. (Just like we use SIM card, the mobile can accept any service provider)
f. Else this loot of consumers will continue and when I check with my friends this is same with other service providers too more
