Duty Cuts on Chinese Imports - 80% items

I read the headline India may cut duties on 80% chinese imports.

At a time when the entire domestic industry is under tremendous slowdown there cant be a policy that allows India to get flooded with cheap chinese imports.

This has to be taken up by LocalCircles in the interest of sme startups and traders.

Is there a trader or retailer association In India or are they non existent. I see nothing here in hyderabad. more

It's unlikely that BJP will listen to such issues as Modi ji is very friendly & close relationship with Chinese President alike Adani & Ambani's more

If the number of tariffs to be initially slashed remains high, the Indian industry will face immediate heat not only from China but also from the ASEAN, Japan and South Korea with which it already has bilateral free trade agreements (FTAs). IT IS A MATTER OF CONCERN FOR ANY INDIAN INDUSTRY TO FLOURISH IN THEIR OWN SOIL. more
The news is not fake.. The wise Chinese are fooling the world, getting their way in large markets by hook or crook. A treaty is being signed by South East Asian nations including India wherein as usual Chinese take the cake. The major share in the cake is already theirs, but this treaty will give them such that our local industries will not survive the items they send us. Trump is literally kicking them out, the Chinese have entrenched themselves so much in the North American market, that from birth to death a American is wrapped in Chinese goods. If the treat is signed, well Chinese stuff will flood India more at cheap rates we cannot imagine. more
I wish that the news item is fake and biased. Modi govt would not take such a nasty step which would kill the domestic market. China, is one of the greatest enemy No 1 dangerous than Pakistan. We request the Commerce Ministry, Finance Ministry to make this news item a false one and they will not take such decisions which would hamper the Domestic market. more
Dont go for the hearsay wait for the real policy and then assess and post accordingly more
