E commerce- online shopping

It is a great thing that e commerce is here to stay and increase its reach to rural India along with 3G/4G. This can generate more employment, more production because of local sourcing.

But on the wrong side is the fly by night scoundrels and cheats who dupe consumers by either providing substandard products or nothing at all and vanish without trace.

Consumers are to b careful while sourcing products and services from online platforms.
Most of them are very responsible companies doing their best to satisfy customers but some are real crooks.
Beware of them.

We will shortly put out a list of such e commerce platforms who sell substandard products and refuse to refund or exchange products.

National consumer helpline has received many such complaints and is closely liaising with the govt. to bring them to book. more

You are right. I am one of the victim. I placed order for Seeds of different Vegetables with online company Plants Guru situated in Pune. However, it was found that some of the seeds packets they supplied were Expired and some packs were not carrying date of Mfg. or expiry. On emailing them Mr. Sumit Vishwakarma on 10.05.2016 had replied that they will look into the matter and send another consignment. however despite reminder on 21.5.2016 neither any reply nor correct consignment received. Through this forum I am bringing such type of crooked companies in light. I would also like to know that what action can be taken against such companies and where to lodge complaint in this matter? more
A national consumer helpline is a good and will be very useful idea. more
