Below are your inputs on how e-Commerce packsging could be recycled to minimize waste creation and cost of the supply chain. Kindly review and if you have additional inputs, please do share.

E-Commerce Packaging and Swachh Bharat
1. The packaging could be taken back by the company in exchange for some discounts on the next purchase
2. Customers could be given reward points on return of that packaging material
3. Drop off points could be created for the customers, from where the e-commerce company can collect the empty boxes and recycle them
4. A third party vendor could be empanelled by each e-commerce company whose contact details should be mentioned on the card board boxes
5. Entrepreneurs should be encouraged to invest in on-call junk pickup business
6. The street corner junk dealers could be authorised by the e-commerce companies to collect the used cardboard packaging and sell it back to the company
7. When buying, the customer can be given a choice weather he wants to retain the packaging or not. If not then the same delivery boy can take the packaging back
8. Each e-commerce company should paste a sticker on box, that the customer can return the carton & box to their authorised collection centre and the price
9. The manufacturing companies could bear the cost of collecting the cartons from the client and could sell it to the e-commerce companies at the price of new. more

Awareness, awareness & awareness at door level to educate house wives how they can reuse their generated waste, so that wastage will minimize at house level itself. Education at house wife level will increase curiosity to join this campaign. more
