ecommerce discounts seem to be going away

it seems that ecommerce has stated to take a hit in India atleast phone sales. iphone xr is now cheaper in India at stores after the 10% additional discount many stores offer. The discount is not available in the online world.

Would the govt continue hammering these ecommerce apps because of the traders and have them maintain prices artificially high or will they let market forces decide prices.

consumers like me and my husband were hoping prices of iphone xr will fall lower on ecommerce since diwali but just not happening. cheaper to buy at store right now, more

The eCommerce companies always display on their sites imaginary inflated prices and then show an artificial hopping discount ranging anywhere from 15% to 70% to lure the consumers. Therefore, prior to place an order the consumers should ensure from the local market the actual prices of the items they intend to purchase online. Online purchases involve another risk of receiving fake/duplicate and used/refurbished articles. more
It is a better option now - you have a choice to buy either from online store or offline store. You can choose to buy from wherever it is cheaper and better service available. more
It's better to go for offline purchase in most of the cases more
not all items are cheap in reputed ecommerce sites and we need to check in our nearby shops also , Especially for high valued items it is always good to purchase an item from nearby shops from where you can see the item and talk to a person and in case of any issue go to him for any support more
Now a better sense is prevailing on e-commerce sites as well - Now they are looking for profits as well customers not like past where they were incurring losses to get customers more
