Ecommerce Policy

Ecommerce policy has been released by govt of India and it does seem many of the inputs from polls in these circles have been incorporated.

Great to be associated with this platform.

Especially good coverage on issues like fake products, chinese ecommerce apps, ratings etc.

Can localcircles simplify the attachd 42 page document please and take out feedback via polls in important areas as Commerce Ministry wants peoples inputs. more

Good initiative and a frequent document to be referred. more
Some time shipping charge is multiply with no of product. Some time shipping charge is more then the cost of the product. Some time shipping charge is more then Rs 100. more
Some time consumers also chit to e commerce site, by using a product for 15 days, then refund back to seller. more
Overall ideal draft, however necessary to include 1. E-commerce platform registered in India(international or other country origin should list products which can be used in India. 2. More often, amazon.in registered in India lists electronic products not compatible for use in India. Rhe reason is that it is listed in US and uploaded or linked to Amazon.in. This is unfair practice of amazon.in e-commerce web manager in India. Note: it is my personal experience and the amazon.in customer care was reluctant to accept their lapse, but unlisted while on phone to prove customer is wrong. 3. Clause should include, the screen print should be considered valid superseding later corrections by e-commerce platform. more
It is yet not the final approved policy. It is a draft eCommerce Policy, and the Govt of India may invite public comments. Let us be ready to provide any views, comments, change that the consumers may feel necessary. more
