Ecommerce rules for food operators

This FSSAI has basically failed to rein in the ecommerce food operators on what they can do in terms of quality shelf life etc.

I request dept of consumer affair to form rules for food operators who sell food via ecommerce.

Companies like swiggy are basically violating many guidelines and may even be culprit of gst anti profiteering.

They charge for 150 rs items 300 rs.

Hope there are some rules made so consumer gets safe food at fair prices. more

I agree there should some guidlings. Some delivery boys have been caught openning packs and stealing from it more
Dependency on door delivery causes charge more. more
For food prices, if the demand drops, so will the prices, in this competitive world more
Why exactly do we NEED Swiggy? Are we in such a dire state that we cannot survive as a nation without a food delivery company? I do understand it may not be feasible for everyone to have home cooked food. But what is stopping us from going out and eating? Or atleast go get the food and eat. By saying that "Swiggy is the need of the hour", we are fooling ourselves and putting ourselves at the mercy of such service delivery platforms. Slowly but surely we are going back to slavery. It is time for us consumers to take a stand and take control. Let us not wait for laws and regulations. I do not mean that we should take laws into our hands, but our actions can be influential. If we know our language well, we will realize that the word for consumer is "Graahak" or the one who influences. We have the power to influence. Let us not give up so easily. more
Primarily FSSAI has failed to implement the rules and regulations to protect the interest of consumers. more
