I am expressing the opinion of a general thinking.

The engineering entrances in India are a big problem in worsening the Indian engineering system.
Although you are interested in some specific branch of engineering but if you have a lower rank than the expected cut-off of that branch then you are compelled to pursue a branch in which you have no interest.
I would like to urge my fellow thinkers to please ensure that such things should no longer pose a problem to our future engineers if India is to lead the world. more

To you Neha kumari shaw it's really not a problem because it's needed as the syllabus is too big to not to resort to that. more
I think Jignesh ji if you are a bit rational thinker than you must have encountered the fact which i have served in front of you people. It's not always easy to sacrifice a good IIT or NIT for the sake of your choice,so it's a bit problematic at the ground level. more
Hi Ved, easy availability of anything also tends to make people complacent and kills competition. I think there are enough engineering colleges / seats in India for a person to pick and choose the branch/faculty of choice. The only thing to be compromised in that case might be the college one has to choose. Having said that, one always has choice to study what one wishes, irrespective of the chosen faculty. I am engineer myself, and I did my bachelors in mechanical engineering and my primary profession today is related to information technology. I think any person wanting to choose a particular branch should work harder and improve the rank. Competition is necessary and there are as many positions on at the top but a lot of contenders. The best one will win. more
SUPPORT. SELECTING STUDENT ON PARROT STUDY BASIS IS ALSO A BIG PROBLEM. more
