Effective App Based Taxi Services: Actions Needed

Many of you have participated in the current survey on app taxis. Last year we had identified some of the solutions needed which LocalCircles had escalated to Central and State Governments and some actions have emerged. With this pose we seek your inputs on what else should be done for safe and effective services by app taxis.

Effective and Safe App Based Taxi Services - Solutions

1.Before allowing app based taxi in the state, the provider should get the approval and undertaking from the state Government
2.Surge pricing should be completely banned
3.Proper police verification of the drivers should be done by the app company before empaneling them
4.Drivers with pending criminal cases against them should not be recruited
5.The pricing should be made very transparent
6.Drivers should be instructed to take either the stipulated route or the one which the passenger asks them to take
7.Drivers should be strictly instructed to not to deny any booking which comes to them
8.If the taxi arrives more than 10 minutes later than the scheduled time then the passenger should be given Rs. 100 off his fare
9.‘Peak time’ should be defined and peak time charges should be standardized
10.At least an approximate fare should be given to the customer at the time of booking
11.The taxis should be instructed to have the symbol of the company so that it gets easily identifiable
12.Panic buttons should be mandatorily be installed in every taxi, which when pressed would send a distress signal to the company with a location tag
13.Last minute cancellations from the taxi should be severely dealt with
14.Driver's full details, including Name, Identity information, Photograph, should be displayed on a board inside the taxi for information of passengers. more

They are dependent on private Taxi and Auto who are linking some tme and disliking. I OBSERVED THIS. So this is additional issue taking part FOR UNFAIR SERVICE while the agreed issues by govts and Cab Unions SPOILED THE ORIGINAL BEST SERVED PERFORMANCE of Ola and Uber more  
Many a times when you book a taxi,either they give very long wait time or are not available.What is to be done in such cases. more  
Tariff for a trip seems to be decided by a whimsical method. It could be 324 just now and even 174 within a few minutes . Why not fix the tariff and follow it , if required, peak hours can be fixed and the premium decided once for all more  
Last minute cancellation from drivers are severely affected by the customers when they have to catch train or bus, company has to take certain steps more  
If there is no audit or check every one will rob you in India more
