Efficiency of refunds - Need better cust. service

Hi Team, Cancelled the ticket ( PNR 6761321429) and raised the TDR as the train was late by more than three hours on 23rd Jan. Checked status with IRCTC [#5701760] on 30 Apr. No response. Again checked on 14 June, no response . Raised a complaint with Public Grievances portal. Refunded one third of what should have been refunded. Now starts another round of followup.

Here are some questions:
1. Why do you need almost six months to verify a TDR claim and refund ? with everything becoming computerized, why cannot it be done within a reasonable period of time ?

2. Why does the support request from IRCTC go unanswered ?

Dynamic fare is okay, and talks of better service is still good, but on ground what is being done to improve such instances and save a genuine fare paying passenger from hassles ? more

Yes why should it take 6 months for the refund when all details are furnished . more

Current reservations. I would like to request the railway authorities to provide an opportunity to cancel the tickets booked under current reservation even without any refund. It will give an opportunity to other passengers who are on queue. Recently , I booked three seats for Trivandrum boarding at Chalakudy by very morning train but we had to resechule the journey to the same day evening when I tried to cancel the tickets I received a message that "current tickets cannot be cancelled." To day Indian Railways is just to fool and loot the passengers. There is no service at all. No complaint is replied suitably. Writing letter to the honorable Railway Minister is useless. No actions are being taken And the Railway Ministry is making propaganda that the Railways are running loss!! We are paying so high because of the inefficient and corrupted employees and Managements. It is ridiculous!! more
