The major expenditure towards canvassing, feeding the agents and publicity materials.
Let the government provide slots in TV, Radio and Papers to all candidates without discrimination and other than this source the candidates be barred from any other mode of publicity.
This may reduce the cost and may permit some local good leaders to dare to contest. more

To reduce the expenditure by the candidates many measures have been brought during this election. Some more such as no public meeeting by the concerned candidate except door to door acampaign by the candidate or his followers could be thought of. Only limited public meeting in important places of the constituency to be permitted. Bringing / gathering public by lorries / goods vehicle etc to be banned. more

Sir, but people are very busy.. They do not have time to spend some time to check out the list of leaders and select one whom they can elect.. They want easy ways., if there is canvassing people passing nearby will see and identify one who is the candidate.. If there are banners and posters people will see... more
