Electric vehicles - charging stations
Got is pushing for electric vehicles. However, charging stations for the vehicles are none or very few. So, customers are charging them at home. With several instances of EVs exploding, these recharges are dangerous, especially in apartment complexes.
Instead of hunting for new space for setting up charging stations, can the existing petrol bunks , EV sales and service centers and other available spaces used for setting up the charging points? And come out with a rule that recharging cannot be done in apartment complexes, especially in basements where there is scarce or no ventilation? more

Depending on the charging time, the space required will be determined. Still, it may be able to cater to the needs of only few EVs at a time. Swapping batteries seems to be a better alternative. Logistics of this solution would evolve and it should be scalable to be economically viable. more

Good idea. In addition, as Sri Saxena has indicated, the causes of these fires should be explained by the sales agents and customers should be trained in safe charging practices. more

Blast does not happen due to lack of ventilation. Batteries are blasting due to poor charging electronics called battery management system...which Is not preventing overcharge more

If and when a blast happens , the chances of damage to the surroundings are more in an unventillated place. more
