Electrical switch company not meeting to standard
Our builder of the society have provided Vinay make switches and modules. So whenever a switch fail we are forced to use the same make. Now frequently the switches of this make fails. As per IS standard each switch should have the capability of 10000 cycle operations. However they are failing before 1500 operation. I had to complaint twice in 13 months for the same switch. Twice the switches got broken while Fitting them by the company technician himself. Still they charged for the replaced switch.
Is it not their responsibility to attend at free of cost when failed within 1/6 th of the committed period

We are allowing manufacture of sub standard product.This must stop then only we can have better quality of life.

Great builder and maintenance team. Generally the maintenace of building by the builder has to end after the gurentee till such he or supplier has to replace. These are not RERA projects

You have hit the nail right on the head. Till the cheque is cashed or money transferred they will be almost on their knees.

Friends, all have given good inputs, but there are National Building Code and NBC guidelines as well. We must bring in such discussion the local Municipal Commissioners , n the URBAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES to be more strict while giving construction permission to any builder, irrespective of area, size or land, that all builders must provide all such auxiliary items, with BIS quality n while giving completion certificate all such premises must be checked during and after construction as mendatory requirements. Only after verifying all such items, electrical fittings, bricks, cement, sand, iron , pipe fittings , wash rooms are fitted with such material . Not only that but must also give underwriting to the purchaser guaranting for free replacement for financial compensation as well. Then only some relief can be expected . Or otherwise , we may keep on arguing or debating here, may bring in some result individually . For the active consideration of all members. Jai Hind.
