Electricity rates revision in Haryana

The recent electricity bills in Gurgaon are a shocker. DHBVN has increased tariff in July 2015 but made it applicable from 1st April 2015. The households tariff has been increased multifold whereas commercial consumption rates have not been increased! Surprising.
Till now there were slabs of 1-80 units, 81-500 units, 500 - 800 units. But now these slabs have been removed. Any household consuming more than 500 units in a month has to pay tariff of Rs 6.75/ unit and FSA charge of Rs 1.58/ unit. add meter charges and other charges. It comes to about Rs 9.5 / unit!!!!
This would be a historical electricity rate, not imaginable in any state. Is Haryana Govt gone bankrupt after BJP govt??
The bills are coming with huge sundry charges. Moreover the calculations of arrears / sundry charges is not given to consumer.
Request all Haryana residents not to pay electricity bill and lodge written complaints to respective DHBVN offices. take receipt of complaints, post the scan copy to Hisar and Panchkula offices.
When Delhi tariff goes to Rs 5/ unit there is a huge media opposition. But no media is opposing Haryana govt extortion in the guise of electricity tariff. Any household having AC consumes more than 500 units in a month; and any house of 3BHK and above consumes about 800 units in a month. All such residents would land up paying thousands to DHBVN.

Rise and Protest. Haryana cannot become Extortion den more

@Ajay Goyal - The hopes of such things in India is my dream and it will remain dream atleast in my lifetime :( more
We should demand Gurgaon be a city WITHOUT ANY OVERHEAD WIRES as any city aspiring to be a model city for the future. They are an eyesore, can create electromagnetic and electric field hazards to nearby residents, major cause of power outages and failures, and even safety to the public. With prices as high as several crores an acre..... I am sure the revenue generated by "selling and disposing" of those "right of way" transmission line corridors and other "rights" for substations, access, etc..... they will be more than adequate to pay for "fully underground facilities".... designed for the future... NOT THE PAST... !!! I have myself worked on 132KV underground cables and indoor substations over 25 years back and which, comparatively, take hardly 5% of the land as compared to overhead lines and outdoor substations. Yes.... they are expensive..... but also enhance reliability as they are less vulnerable to failures, safer (no hanging wires) and essentially unaffected by rain, hail and the ravages of storms and smog. Question is..... are "the authorities" (our servants) willing to serve in OUR interests or only THEIR OWN. If any in power (HERC, DHBVN, Govt, etc) tell you about...... technical problems..... they obviously prefer sitting on their desks and await their pension.... than work for our benefit and quality of life in Gurgaon.... this "technology" is several decades old and predates the Internet and even cell phones..... and actually even "new Gurgaon" (East of Delhi-Jaipur Highway)......A city promoted as a city of the future by...... DLF, Unitech, Ansals, Haryana Govt's & Beauraucrats..... you get the idea...!!!.... more
In addition to the unjustified high rates, the petition should also mention about the frequent, erratic, avoidable and unplanned power cuts, ambiguous answers to telephone calls and deteriorating services for restoration of power, pathetic condition of the hanging cable wires which may result into any mishap of even life at any time. more
