Eliminating use of Thermocol

With this post we would like to seek your inputs on all the places where thermocol is used and how best thermocol can be replaced by other packaging material.

As outlined by Srirama Bhat, Thermocol cannot be recycled, hardly reused, not bidegradable and emits carcinogenic gases upon incineration.

1. If the Thermocol is such a dangerous substance, it could be banned. 2. Alternately, the rate of tax on it could be increased many fold to make it unaffordable. 3. It is easily inflammable and often used as a cheap false-ceiling material. Wires run in its proximity often causes fire. more
