Email Hacking: Inputs on Issues
Several members have talked about their email accounts getting hacked and being used to send emails to their contacts. These emails generally have a promotional link thereby trying to use their identity to promote a product/service to their contacts.
We would like to seek your inputs on all such issues you are facing. Once the issues are listed, we will have a separate discussion on solutions that can be implemented to address this issue.

Hacking is hugely difficult to counter globally.Only way out is to be as cautious as possible.It it one of the worst aspects of such a good tool.It is very difficult to stop it completely. more

In a recent past I read an article of an IT Technocrate who embrace the Hacking in which he found himself as Master. It was an open admission of an IT engineer who has a wide vision and found Hacking as a professional justice. Until we are using any hardware or gadgets it is suciptible to be tempered or hacked at any known or unknown end. We should be given tips and preventives as to hiw our EMails are hacked or transmitted to undesired ends. more

This was not uncommon so long as I had an android PC. After shifting over to Apple, this problem thankfully has ceased to exist for us. Hope this comment is useful for the members. more

Somebody sending a 'promotional' email after hacking into your emails is the least bit of damage. There are far more severe damages they could do which could include 'reputation damage', 'sending illegal content thru your email', sending links to 'malwares' like ransomwares etc to your contacts using your identity, be able to hack into your banking systems if your OTP is configured to be delivered on your emails etc. Emails continue to be the Achilles' heal in the cyber defence you and/or your organization might have put together, as it gives a credible foundation for social engineering. more

Cyber crimes are on the increase and one of the most appropriate reason for such increase may be due to lethargic attitude or in sensitiveness of the investigating departments. I myself have raised issues of cyber frauds and the response of the police department is not to be commented upon. Even the police department try to avoid taking note of such crimes. They need to be educated to keep pace with the development of the cyber crime technology. more
