Emergency Quota System Design - Inputs Sought

One of the solutions outlined by you in the discussion on effective utilization of Emergency Quota was for Railways to create a centralized helpline/website center where such requests can be validated and processed effectively.

Kindly give your inputs on the design of such a system that can help provide assistance to travelers with real emergencies and keep out any misuse of the quota.

We look forward to your inputs! more

First tell us who will evaluate these suggestions. If anyone from Railway is going to do it. let us close this circle because Railway will not do anything good at any cost. Had it benn from contractors, Coke, Pepsi etc, Railway including Board will work overtime and their suggestions shall be implemented in 24 hours. That is how coke an dpepsi is available all railway stalls whereas MILK CURD or BUTTER will never be available anywhere. Jai Ho. Bharat Mahan He. make in India means subcontracting to COke Pepsi and other MNCs. more
EQ system should be abolished as Tatkal system can be used in case of emergency. more
I am of the opinion that the EQ system should be there but the use of it should strictly for an emergency situation . Not for the politicians who can afford anytime and mode of travel. Women should be considered on priority need more

EMERGENCY QUOTA SHOULD BE ONLY FOR CRITICAL PATIENTS HAVING CERTIFICATES FROM gOVT OR RECIGNISED HOSPITALS. POWERS GIVEN TO mps, mlaS ETC HAS TO BE WITHDRAWN IMMEDIATELY. WHY THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN QUOTA. WITHDRAW IT. IT IS ILEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL TO GRANT QUOTA TO MPS AN DMLAS. AND NO DISCREATINARY POWERS TO OUR BABUS WHO SELL THESE QUOTAS OPENLY TO TOUTS AND LOOT PEOPLE. QUOTA IS A GREAT BUSINESS. LET US STOP IT. more
Railways you take design inputs and then dont do anything. The quota business is sad. more
With the introduction of Tatkal quota the emergency quota should have been cancelled. But it is continuing to support the influential people. more
