Sri Ravi GADIRAJU has raised a pertinent point! Many things have to be done to upgrade service standard! Training to staff and association of the intended members of this circle! I undertook a venture of correcting wrong habits of passengers as an individual in sealdah diamond harbour route under sealdah divn of E Rly THE EXPERIENCE IS BITTER! LADIES ARE VERY VOCIFEROUS SAYING' WE ARE TRAVELLING DAILY (whether with a ticket or ticketless) DONT TRY TO RECTIFY US" THIS IS A RESULT OF 'VOTE BANK' POLITICS ALLOWING 'GO AS YOU LIKE'! IT CAN BE RECTIFIED IN NO TIME PROVIDED THE STATE POLITICAL HOOLIGANS ARE CONTROLLED~ more
Before making a comment here, I called nearest situation and asked them define "emergency". Unfortunately none of them ( out of 3 calls ) do not know the meaning of emergency. Hardly the response to emergency makes no sense if we do not know what situation comes under "emergency" category. Many railway employees do not know the difference between "emergency response" and "disaster response". Railways need to update the employees by proper training and the users ( passengers). When I see the E-tickets absloutely no info on it and most of the provided info is not required of users. Help line numbers and what need to do in "emergency" should be part of ticket so that users know the rights and railways know their obligations. more
