Encroachments on roads

This has reference to my comment on the subject dated 8th Feb'15.
I was waiting for comments/suggestions from like minded people. Thanks to all who have commented. As a responsible citizen, I think just highlighting our problem is not enough. Let us work out a possible solution as well to the problem. My suggestion to the above menace is that Residents Welfare Association (RWA) should work with local police to solve the problem. We should have monthly meetings with Police authority and discuss the issues on regular basis. This will create a good atmosphere and a personal touch between the authority and people. This type of people connect could be a source of problem solving technique..... any more suggestions welcome..... more

Now Delhi people have voted for a party which has promised lot of things which are really difficult to do.. If they really care for Delhi, their first priority should be to check CHORI (THEFT) OF ELECTRICITY AND REMOVING UNAUTHORISED CONSTRUCTIONS. THEY SAY IN WALLED CITY EVEN TODAY ELECTRICITY THEFT IS NEARLY 50% AND IN UNAUTHORISED COLONIES 25-40% AND THEY DUB IT TRANSMISSION LOSSES. THESE UNAUTHORISED ENCROACHERS ON PUBLIC LAND ARE FIRST AND FOREMOST IN LOOTING PUBLIC RESOURCES more
Ya, I agree with you sensible people that the Delhi has turned into a hell not because of strange or unwanted people but people amongst us. We can see at Saket, Pushp Vihar , Sheikh Sarai areas where I reside that all road are covered by unauthorised parking and heavy encroachment is going on. Today, 'chalta hai yar' may be seen common and no one is bothered untill and unless he get suffered. Govt comes and go but till the attitude of living people not change, nothing remarkable we can notice in near future. So everyone has to devote himself and raise voice against unwanted, illegal, etc acts whether at their end or others. more
I stay in Vikaspuri Extension, Car sales & purchase shops have encroached the areas in front of the flats making the lives of the residents miserable. Complaints have been made my the residents, but these people manage to escape. more
