Energy Drinks - Inputs on Issues

The consumption of caffeinated/energy drinks in India has shown an upward swing during the past decade.

It has to be examined that these drinks are not addictive and have safety issues associated with them, esp since our youth is top consumer for such drinks.

Research in some countries have indicated these drinks causing a rapid rise in energy levels including rise in blood pressure and after a certain time period they causing a crash/sudden decline in energy levels.

We would like to seek your inputs on the subject of Issues with Energy Drinks. Also, if you have experienced them first hand, please share your experiences.

We can't ban them but the ill effects of these caffeinated drinks can be advertised. The caffeinated drinks have so much sugar in them which is very harmful and might cause obesity and diabetes if consumed in large quantities. They also don't have any nutritional value. more
