ENERGY SLUMPS VS. DEHYDRATION :

You may have heard of the 8x8 rule. It states that you should drink eight, 8-ounce glasses of water per day. That's half a gallon of water (about 2 liters).Nov 8, 2016.

For someone eating a diet of 2,000 calories per day, this adds up to 2,000 ml (roughly 64 oz), or eight 8-oz glasses.

On the other hand, not drinking enough water can cause mild dehydration, defined as the loss of 1–2% of body weight due to fluid loss. In this state, you may experience fatigue, headache and impaired mood.

However Dr. Trisha McDonald's recommendation of 1 Gallon [3.8 Liters ] , may be to suit the American build and weight and Calorie intake.

Indian Doctors recommend 2 liters of water under normal condition and more when having fever and Kidney problems. more

It is a fact that sufficient water intake is necessary. Indian Doctors recommend 2 liters of water under normal condition. But, there needs to be awareness on this matter. more

I agree water is not simply called the elizir of life.Always drink enough water it does not do any harm but removes the harmful ingredients. more
