Engage in the local Swachh Bharat Movement

Dear all:

While we really appreciate every member's inputs on key policy making area, checklists and whitepapers, we request every member to also join their respective area's local Swachh Bharat circle and engage in on ground cleanliness.

Swachh Bharat circles are now available for 45 constituencies of India. You can look up the one for your area here:

http://tinyurl.com/Swachh-Bharat-LocalCircle

If you do not have a Swachh Bharat circle existing for your constituency/city, you can create one.

It is recommended that via the local circle of Swachh Bharat in your constituency/city, citizens meet up for an in person discussion or cleanliness drives. Also, a core committee may be formed which meets the local municipal agency on a monthly basis to brief them on key cleanliness issues.

Cleanliness action on the ground and a long term partnership between citizen community and local civic bodies is critical for Swachh Bharat in your constituency and city.

And, as you make progress do share your case studies so we can share with 240,000 citizens, Minister of Urban Development, print media and other channels.

have you seen the village folk?2-3 guys will decide to go for open defecation, and this will be also the time for them to gossip and share all village news..smoking beedi , the local smell is obliterated and they spend may be half an hour-It is social event!!!so unless toilets are constructed with these guys to communicate through the walls and unless smoking facilities are there, these guys will still choose open fields and areas to defecate more
Dear Sir. Good day to you. I am here in Benaras. Brij Enclave Colony. Varanasi. There is a Park here. Munchi Premchand Park. Its a shame. A huge dump lies in front of this place and there is sososo much of filth and dirt. The colony Brij Enclave. Sunderpur is crying and begging for attention and really needs your kindness. There is no such thing as thrash being picked up by the local body. What good is Swachh Bharti if there is so much of filth n dirt in this colony. Thank you and help Mary. more
