Ideas to engage Corporates in Swachh Bharat Mission

1. All corporates should look at the processes internally and make sure that the disposal of waste is done well
2. Most corporate houses run a kitchen, all the kitchen waste should be converted into compost
3. Employees should be encouraged to get their own on-the-go water bottles and tea/coffee mugs. This will reduce plastic waste
4. The industrial houses must be asked to keep the area around them clean
5. Corporates could adopt nearby slum areas and stay responsible for its cleanliness
6. Corporates could also adopt roads, streets, parks etc. and maintain their cleanliness
7. Corporates could sponsor the keeping of certain dustbins in cities and on the highways
8. Corporates could train their employees on waste segregation, so that the knowledge could flow out to the outside community organically
9. Corporates could encourage their employees to spend time on this cause every week
10. Corporates could tie up with some RWAs around their area and sponsor their efforts to keep their colony clean
11. Corporates could give grants towards the research and development on garbage management
12. Corporates could help with doing mass awareness campaigns on TV, radio, newspapers etc.
13. Corporates could give grants to NGO working in this sphere
14. Corporates could support/fund a Women Entrepreneur working on Cleanliness in their area. The entrepreneur could take responsibility for cleanliness bringing together RWAs/Citizens, Civic Agencies and drive collective action for cleanliness.
15. Corporates could take the responsibility of maintaining some public toilets
16. Corporates could build toilets in urban slums or rural areas near their operations and work with communities to maintain them more

Hi there, Corporates are the one who has destroyed our country, again the corporates should help in swachh bharath. They are the one who has increased the unemployment, they are the one practicing all the new ways of making money, they are the one who are growing like any thing more
First and foremost Government should think out of the box and not fix the standard of the product with 1950s technology like RCC and brick. Much faster technologies and materials are available like one team of 6 people can build a toilet using modern materials and just sunlight as source of energy! Such ideas should get grants or support/ at least tax free support to bring such work to reality check toiletforall.org more
Members of Local circlles to be involved in educating/awaring the methods of disposal of e waste and sanitation issues in their own areas as well whereever they can volunteer for improvements. Dr J K Srivastava more
Today there is practically no recycling of used goods. From clothes, to utensils, to mobile phones, furniture, anything that is no longer useful in the form it is, is usually thrown into the dustbin, or outside onto the street. Corporates can help in a very useful way by accepting every bit of old useless product and providing new ones in exchange for some discounted price. They will after all find use for the material being exchanged. Alternatively, there could be companies specifically engaged in sorting out old material and sending it to the proper places for re-utilization. The kabariwala could get a little more professional. more
Mandatory proper disposal of e-waste needs through law needs to be done. Incentive needs to be given to Companies who help in this cause. more
