Reduce platform width. Smoothen platforms. Improve cleanliness. See attached Grand Central Railway inside walkway. Also Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, excellent. more
The Railway can earn lot of money by controlling the High Volume Luggage Like Air Lines & Platform tickets. But only the will power is required. The Railway board , Ministers has not the correct mind. Also Highly educated peoples can;t do anything more. The Entry & exit gates should be separated & only Passengers with confirmed & RAC reservation should be allowed . The Current Ticket Holder should have separate entry from rear & Front gates. so that there will not be any rush on platform. It can be done by just modifying the present station structure. Only two bags are allowed per person. 28 " . Others extra can be put into same Compartment in Lock & Key . the key should be with Coach attendant. He will release the luggage before 20 minutes of arrival of destination station. also It should be chargeable basis. Even if Rly reduce the Last Berth , that cost will get recover in this cost. more
Passengers with valid and confirmed tickets should only be allowed to get inside the railway platform. NO PLATFORM TICKETS BE ISSUED. This will reduce unneccessary crowding on the platform. We have similar system in place at airports. Security can also be take care with limited people. Entry should also be subjected to showing of valid tickets and identity proof as is done at airports. There can be a seperate meeting and greeting place for the passengers with their friends and relatives. more
I fully agree. There should be 100% access control to the railway stations. On similar lines of Air travel. This will also help to check security. On running trains RPF and TTE should check entry of unauthorized venders. more
Entry to railway stations must be restricted only to authorised passengers. This can be done only by installing automated device at the entrance for punching the tickets. Recent research showed that renewable energy can be produced thus helping in climate change. more
Some of us in India are intelligent & creative enough to hoodwink any such device. more
Yes. And if any unauthorized person us found on the platform, the ticket checker at the entrance must be taken to task, along with the unauthorized person. more
Ticket checkers and CISF officials including a SI was seen sleepibg at the entrance at different occasions. . Since every body has got secure job, time bound promotions and increments irrespective of his performance, why he should ? more
