The Blame Game continues. As of today a survey consultancy firm called SAFAR has put the blame on Saudi Arabia - Gulf being 45% contributors for the Delhi smog. On 29th October there was a severe dust storm in Saudi and the dust particles was picked up by Ocean air current and transported to Northern India by westerly winds. Another 35% smog contributor was the stubble burnings in Haryana, Punjab & U.P., so only 20% smog was due to vehicle emissions and other pollutants in Delhi...and Center, Courts and NGT were all baying for Delhi-CM Kejriwal's blood. Shows how the vengeance filled BJP at center still smarting from the humiliating drubbing they got in Delhi never miss out any chance to hit the AAP - at the expense of the electorate. more
It's shame that neither Environment ministry nor Transport and Highway minister is serious about tackling the problem. This government is not even serious about banning diesel fuel inspite of several studies proving it's health hazard world over .So far NGT has been fighting lone battle against the pollution and commissioning various studies which should have done by government of the day. Perhaps Air pollution is not priorty right now with elections around the corner in multiple states. While army of polluting trucks and venom spewing buses continue to enter delhi , Industries continue discharge chemical waste , construction activity continues unchecked spreading dust particles. Every morning while leaving for office we are welcomed by sweeper sweeping dust and smoke into your face .Such is apathy in state in Delhi. Seriously can't trust these ministers who don't care for us and have faith in GOD who can save us. more
Mr. Minster well i wish you listen daily news where everyone is seeing this an emergency. Are you waiting this comes to its last stage. Well to experience it personaly take daily walk in morning for half an hour. You will find the difference. more
Only Minister can talk like this in this country, and feel nothing wrong. Let's wish Minister walks everyday in the morning for half an hour and stay fit. more
WOW! Harshvardhan, if you are reading this, know that you rightly entered politics as you are not fit to be a doctor, a good human being neither, you live in your nest with ACs & filters, running away to govt paid vacations in goa etc., our environment cannot be in worst hands. Harshvardhan, try living in a hut and walk on roads instead of cars without ACs, you will get the reality or let your family members die due to asthma, maybe you will realise only the need because you are clearly ILLITERATE. must say that you politicians get too overpaid & priviledged to a lot for doing nothing. MR MODI, please interfere - why are you silent now or do you want to rule a dead capital. all of you only speak on topics where only popularity /votes are guaranteed. more
