Normally, no one employs a person who has completed 60 years of age. However, if the company policy permits it, ESI is compulsory. As far as PF is concerned, if he was a EPF member earlier, he would be receiving EPF pension and hence there wont be any PF contribution. However, if the person was receiving Govt. pension (not EPF), then PF deduction is compulsory. In this case, both employee and employer contribution in toto will go to his PF account and nothing to his pension account. more
Employers are not required to deduct EPF & ESI once the employee has completed the age of 60 years i.e. Retirement age. However if a person is employed after retirement age the employer may deduct employee's contribution for deposit in EPF but employer is not required to make any contribution for such Super-annuated employees. more
EPF & ESI are Social Security Acts. As per EPF Act, Provident Fund contributions (both employee and employer) are dedication after the age of 58 but both all amount in deposit in EPF heading only Brahmanand Sharma +918980090446 more
