EPF REGISTRATION

I have a HVAC manufacturing unit. I have enrolled our workers & staffs in ESIC but failed to do it in EPF because none of them are interested. They were not interested for ESIC also. We have taken the registration & paying employer & employees contribution both.
Now, we are unable to pay contribution of employer & employees both for EPF. Also we don't need any legal complication. Please help. more

sir, ESIC & EPF is a mandatory scheme but u take same stamp like_____ more
Once you obtain PF registration you are liable to remit both shares plus some admin charges also and just becos employees dont want you cannot shyaway from the responsibility of contribution it is social security measure for unorganised sector/private sector and cannot be withdrawn in the middle unless otherwise specific reasons !! hope you find the answer !! more
Hello Mr Pradyut, you being an entrepreneur have to comply with all statutory requirements and particularly social security provisions. Whether the employee accepts it or not, EPF has to be complied. It appears, probably you feel it is a burden on your part to contribute towards employer's share hence you are also not interested to comply it on the plea, the employees are not interested. Better you ensure to comply and compliance. The benefits are many, Apart from pension, there is a provision of EDLI, the benefit is Rs. 163,000/- in case the employee dies in employment, there is a provision for payment of pension on attaining superannuation and in case of death while in service, pension for spouse and two children at a time up to the age of 25 years. Similarly there are penal provisions in the EPF & MP Act, which includes, apart from charging interest, conviction or penalty or both ranging from 3 years to 5 years. Hope it is amply clarified more
Educate your employees about the EPF is a saving fund deposit for your future, not a deduction from your salary. And equal amount will be deposited by the employer. And they will be able to view his e-passbook by login uan member portal. Apply for pf code if nos of the employees is more than 10. On Mar 12, 2017 8:15 PM, "PRADYUT GHOSH" wrote: more
Hi Pradyut, Contribution to EPF is a mandatory scheme so government will never buy your arguement that employees are not ready to contribute for it. The only time you can opt out of the EPF program is at the start of your career, when somebody tell his first boss that he don’t want to be a part of it and fill out Form 11 . If you’ve contributed towards EPF even once and have an account created in your name, you cannot opt out of this scheme. I hope the suggestion will help you. more
