EPFO account due to job change in diff.states

Presently I work and have EPFO account in Telangana state, If I move to different state, which is good option whether I should continue same EPFO account or withdraw my present account and start new one.

As there is mismatch on interest rate credited in my present account. Is it advisable to continue same EPFO account or withdraw my present account and start new one.

Whether we can sort above said mismatch anywhere we are located in INDIA as the interest rates are decided by Central govt.
Please advice. more

Hi, Even when correction of name or any other details have been submitted to the PF office the changes are not getting reflected and the employees are in great difficult at the the time of settlement as the claims are returned back more
Do not withdraw, transfer the amount. If you have UAN , you do not have to worry. Submit Form-11 ( available under the link http://www.epfindia.com/site_docs/PDFs/Downloads_PDFs/Form11Revised.pdf ) to your new employer. He will upload it and your PF will be deposited under the same UAN. If you withdraw from your pension fund also, you lose precious service. Pension is calculated by adding all services under different employers. If you withdraw, that service under that particular employer shall not be counted. The more length of service, the more Pension you will get. more
Mr Reddy, the EPFO are badly governed and managed organisation. They made employee to suffer and run from pillar to post and the officers remain confined to their AC rooms. The different EPFOs do not talk to each other. They are not on talking terms, they tell employees to approach their previous employers and concerned EPFO to complete the formalities. I am the proof of their mismanagement. I left my employers (PTI) in Mumbai and worked in Deccan Herald, Bangalore (The Printers Mysore Pvt Ltd). both the EPFOs are not talking to each other and making to run from pillar to post to fulfil the formalities. PTI has send my contribution to Bangalore, but Bangalore says they have not received it though PTI has given proof of bank transaction. But our EPFOs are mute spectators and drawing sadistic pleasure over my plight. There is no one to listen. Why this forum? when our grievances are not heard. Can any one guide me. O P Verma more
Mr.C.JAGADESWAR REDDY It is always advisable to continue the same account. Premature withdrawal of full amount is not allowed. Now UAN (Universal Account Number) has been given to each and every EFP account holder. With this UAN all transactions such as Transfer of Account, Closure after retirement are very easy. But once you apply for transfer of Account, be visiting the new office in which jurisdiction the new account is handled and confirm that the balance is transferred successfully. You will have no problem transferring the amount ad actually you are not supposed to withdraw if you continue with service anywhere in India. Only thing you should do is routing the document (online) through earlier employer. Unless you have major issue with earlier employer the transfer is easy and online. I got it done twice without any problem and you get SMS for every activity. However you should have UAN number. Unless we have major personal need, by withdrawing money actually we loose huge since the earning from this amount becomes taxable after you withdraw. PF account otherwise is transparent and you can see all data online. more
