Employees over 58 years of age are not getting their refunds of the pension amount contributed by the employer - forms are returned with the with the remark not eligible. They should either get pension or refund of the amount?! If they are getting neither why is EPFO retaining the amount? As it is they have thousands of crores of poor labour's money with them. Even PM has mentioned this disastrous state in his speech the Parliament. UAN will take time to stabilise, till then either give pension or refund. more
The people I am talking about are with less than 1-3 years contribution. Most of the labourers and security guards fall into that category. If contribution has gone into their EPS and they fill Form 10 for withdrawal but are above 58 years of age, they are not getting refunds. Those below 58 years are getting except those with less than 6 months contribution. more
No, u r not liable to pay tax because the amount transferred amount consist of ur previous accumulation also. So u have to take the total service of previous employer as well as present employer . If it is more than 5 yrs there is no tax liability. more
No such thing is there Mr Murthy. One of my ex-colleague, who was more than 58 years getting the pension regularly and every year, he has to give life certificate. I think some problem. You directly go to the PF office and approach PRO he will be able to guide you properly. more
Valid point, Ministry of labor welfare should take appropriate action on ASAP. If its necessary the existing law should be amended to enabling them the employees and their depends will get their benefits on time. R. THIAGARAJAN. more
