Excellent report by LC

Glad that LC has released the survey on how vegetable prices are pinching the common citizens.

Why is the opposition of this country Rahul Gandhi Kejriwal Mamta Banerjee all silent on this issue of onion potato tomato prices.

Why is english newspaper media also mum.

If 29% households are not buying enough essentials that they need how are we even talking about viksit bharat? Joke more

Our Agriculture system is age old and needs renovation. Storing facility for Normal and Cold Storage must be increased so that the wastage of food can be reduced. Another is many a population is dependent on Agriculture, this must be reduced, and alternate fields must be increased. Now a days weather also plays an important role and untimely excess rain spoils the crop, this is nature's fury and can not be controlled. Govt must increase Kisan Freight Trains so that food product is quickly transported to cities, this will give better price to the Kisans. All these may help in reducing price escalation and increase kisan's income. more
No doubt, green vegetables soaring price led to cut in consumption of an individual or any family. Common people are unable to afford more. Imposition of various tax on a person made it really difficult to maintain a family expenditure. Unfortunately neither Govt. nor the opposition ever included such serious issue in election campaign as both high tax and unusual spiralling of vegetables and essentials directly influence the size of the GDP. It may appear unusual but very true in absolute terms. more
Contributory factors are many. Viz. Fuel price, farmers strike, road blocks, excessive rain, land slides draught etc. Due to natures furry price escalation was inevitable. more
WE NEVER SEE THE PRICE IN HOTEL . WE RUN OUR CAR/IKE/SCOOTER EVEN AT SHORTEST DISTANCE AND EVEN TO SHOW. ITS DEMAND SUPPLY. WHEN HEAVY RAINS VEGETABLES WILL BE COSTLY. WE WANT OUR PAY TO INCREASE BUT FARMERS WHOSE COST INCREASES DUE TO FERTILIZERS AND OTHER COST AND WAGES OF THE LAB OURS WE DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS BUT JUST TO CRY FOR PRICE INCREASE. NOT TO FAVOR ANY PARTY. BUT JUST COMPARE THE PRICE OF CEREALS OF 2013/2014 AND TODAY PRICE. THEY CAME TO 2013 14 LEVEL. WE PAY FOR COMPLAN . IN BISCUITS THEY CHANGE THE WEIGHT KEEPING PRICE SAME. IF ANY ONE RELATIVES ARE IN USA OR UK OR CANADA OR EUROPE JUST ASK THEM THE PRICE OF ATTA AND VEGETABLES AND EVEN PETROL more
We talk and take matters related to farm produces but never utter a single word about packed food items. Why? I agree with the views expressed by fellow members. Working urban population who are salaried get DA based on the Consumer Price Index, so why so much outcry? more
