Exploitation by DHBVN
DHBVN has been doing it for ages. They issue adhoc bill in one bimonthly billing cycle and apply higher slab tariff for the next (four months) bill.
They have been getting away with it because consumers don’t dare default on payment for fear of their electricity being disconnected.
DHBVN knows that people will not take to the streets as they do these fraudulent billing for one section of the consumers at a time, effectively dividing the consumers.
Then of course who can fight the government agency as the people know that the administration will side with the government agency.
On the other hand if it were a private agency the administration would support the people.
It’s clear case of exploration by the government agency. more

Needs investigation by independent body. If it is correct DHBVN should be penalized heavily. more

i AGREE WITH YOU. I AM FACING THE SAME PROBLEM SINCE A LONG TIME. INSPITE OF COMPLAINTS TO SDO AND JE, THERE IS NO RESPONSE AND SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. DHBVN IS TAKING FULL ADVANTAGE FROM ITS CUSTOMERS BECAUSE THERE IS NO RESISTANCE FROM ANY SIDE. NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. more

It seems your sentence that "DHBVN issue one adhoc in one cycle and next cycle of 4 months is on higher slab rates" is wrong and is misleading the consumer. Privatization is not the solution as the only solution is to discipline the PSU Discom. The consumers are afraid to raise the issue if they also do something wrong. The responsibility is the prime requirement. The comment should be written only in the original post and not getting diverted by making it a separate post. In case the consumers are still afraid of, please forward the details of the complaint you have regarding billing in my original post.
