Exploitation due to wrong MRP rates on certain ite
I would like to bring it to the notice of learned members, the gross exploitation taking place in rural india due tot he wrong pricing policies and priting of MRP of higher values on certain items.
Items : few items like paints and crakers etc. some more may be there.
Though the cost of a ltr of paint in the market is 100- 120 INR, the companies print 280-400INR as MRP and sell in cities at the price of 140 to 150INR, where as when it goes to rural india, the shop keeper sell at MRP, which is 2.5 to 3 times higher than its actual value and still argues, as if he is doing a favour to the consumer that he is selling at MRP. in this way the rural consumer is loosing. when it comes to city, the buyer has a choice to go and verify in another shop, where as in rural it is not possible, as there may be only one shop.
my question is Why such a higher MRP is allowed to be printed at the first instance and there by giving scope for exploitation?
please debate and take it forward more
