Extend Warranty Period for Cars
carmakers don't offer standard warranty for more than 3 yrs. Compare it to consumer durables & the unfairness comes to light. Your compressor in AC & fridge carry a 10 year warranty. So does the motor in washing machines.
Can we work with BIS to take up warranty standards for vehicles and basically get it extended to 10 years. more

Yes, warranty for car can be extended as in case of other products/Machinery/Motors/White Goods etc. BIS should take this issue. more

This is good suggestion to increase the warranty which will instill confidence of the product class with the customer but one has to see how the present warranty issues are tackled by the manufacturers since they will always try to say that this has been used wrongly and will not so easily accept manufacturing defect more
