ALL THE PRIVATE AND GOVT BANKS EVEN, WHO ARE NOT APPRECIATED FOR THEIR SERVICES, ARE GIVING FACILITY TO AMEND THE PERSONAL DETAILS, MOB NO, THROUGH INTERNET BANKING BUT IN THIS ELECTRONIC AGE, ICICI BANK IS STILL STUCK TO THE 25 YEARS OLD SYSTEM
OF PERSONAL VISITS TO BANK/ATM TO GET THE MOB NO CHANGED. SENIOR CITIZENS AGED 75 YEARS ARE ALSO FORCED TO VISIT THE BANK/ATM. WHY THIS BANK CAN NOT OFFER THE FACILITY THROUGH INTERNET BANKING LIKE OTHERS. THEY ARE NOT DETAILING THE REP TO THE RESIDENTS OF SENIOR CITIZENS WHICH THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO AS PER GOVT RULES. more

Dear Mr. Sudhir Joshi, - No Need to visit to close account neither any specific form. Your letter intending to close the account will suffice the very purpose along with Check book, if you are holding. But keep Acknowledged Copy of your communication. Advisable to specifically specify where to divert the Balance of the Account &/or withdraw to Max extend. To reactivate the same account your application to the effect with some additional amount to be deposited so to get it reactivated. In case of Chaeckbook holder, bank may impose penalty for not keeping Minimum Balance. In either case, if your very purpose is not suffice, visit RBI site above mentioned and lodge your complaint & follow-up periodically till it get resolved. more

Open "google.com" to search for "rbi complaint management system" (CMS). Go step by step as directed. The CMS will be accessible on desktop as well as on mobile devices. The RBI also plans to introduce a dedicated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system for tracking the status of complaints. Complaint Management System (CMS) is a software application to facilitate RBI's grievance redressal process. Fed up with their inaility to solve even simple issues like sending ac statement for 1st to last date of month instead 26th to 25th ,forget aout more serious issues, I wanted to close HDFC Bank AC and requested them to send closure form soft copy.They didn't do that.When visited the branch ,they said form currently not available.Hence the AC is dormant and they are threatening to deactivate it.I replied I want to close the A/C and sent closure form. No Action.It is over two years now. more
