False information to get subscription from customer

I received a call from Videocon d2h call centre regarding channel No 131 which is Comedy channel. The call centre person told that they are giving the channel @ Rs 1 for 7 days and if you like it, it will be automatically activated and if you don't then you may phone on call centre and discontinue the facility.
But I surprised that today when I call to the call centre (before the completion of specified 7 days period), the boy on duty told that you can't discontinue since once you ordered it can't be cancelled. It was just opposite the earlier call centre boy told to get the subscription.
I told him to connect me to your senior but he denied to connect.
Such types of activities are being done by these operators which are unfair and unethical. more

D2H is adopting all false assurances. The service provider is cheat. It must be banned. After Cyclone in coastal districts of Odisha, the service provider could not send the engineer for more than 45 days, but the balance in the account was debited. more
Besides not paying, pl. lodge a formal complaint to Appallate Authority Dish TV with a copy to Complaints Office TRAI at ap@trai.com more
This is true. Once you subscribe any additional channel, it becomes very difficult to cancel it. they have a no. of excuses, like you have to keep it minimum for 30 days etc. Once portability is introduced in DTH, all there mischief will be over. more
