Faridabad Police

Why are they not starting law order circle for Faridabad? I had requested last month but no response from comm office. Can someone write to DGP or CM. If we start talking about problems we can then get action. more

If police agrees to involve citizens in policing, maybe the things can improve. That is why there is need for a forum where citizens can voice their concerns. more
This cooperation is already in place in the name of "compromise" formula that police tries to enforce. If they mean better policing by involving people then fine, else better policing by forcing the good to compromise with the bad (despite video evidence - I know a case where police refused to look at the video as it would have nailed the accused who had made arrangement with police) is inhuman. Sadly, Faridabad police (or for that matter entire Indian police system) is simply inhuman at this time. more
Let us be optimisic. Hope that thinga are changing. The police says that they want cooperation from the public. Therefore, they may be willing to enter into a partnership with the public. more
I doubt if this would be done. Police and corruption are synonymous, which involves bottom to top in the system. First of all Achchey Din is all about honest policing, but for that police reform is a must. Right now Indian Policing is completely based on British era thought of controlling the public for the benefit of British Regime. The same thought is even today - politicians (from NDA or UPA all are same) will never allow honest policing because their lives itself would be ruined and most of them will have to look for cover to save from public shame (well, most of them are anyway shameless). Can good be protected/celebrated and bad be shamed/punished in India - I really doubt. What works here is the might of money and connections, hence there can be no Achchey Din in India. more
By getting inputs from the public, police can improve its functioning and also keep the public happy. Let us all of us write to the Police Commissioner just as Kalyani Verma has done. In Delhi the Police has a similar program called Bhagidari. It can be started here also. more
