Farmer Issue - Win of Bad over good reform

The government has given proposal to put farm laws in abeyance by a year or two & farmers are now going to get back to the Government.

Just like failure to bring in land rehabilitation this is failure to bring in another big reform because of misled farmers of Punjab and Haryana.

Please share your views everyone and why cant we cap purchase by All major groups like Reliance Adani etc at 10000 crores of produce per year with 100% year over year growth cap.

LocalCircles - polls on this possible??! Govt needs our support. more

These are not real Farmers. They are middle man, Politicians of opposition parties, vested interest people and anti social group elements, who are making all this hue and cry. more
There is lot of corruption in procurement and distribution of food grains. There are many stake holders in this loot of tax payers money like Mandi Board employees, FCI and Warehousing Corporations work force, Rice Mill shellers, Agents, truckers, politicians, loan defaulting farmers etc. Big farmers are full funding the protests as more than 2 lac farmers from Punjab & Haryana are among the super rich Indians. Too much money is spent on freebies in Punjab and the produce is sold at MSP in one go. Either there should be freebies or MSP. The procurement should be need based. The option of private Mandis is just an option. Contract farming is again an option and lot a binding. So where is the loss to the farmers ? It is sheer dirty politics being played by various groups to derail farming reforms. The farm income above Rs.10 lac should be taxed as this income has been generated out of tax payers money. more
From relatives in punjab area who are farmers I am given to understand that The individuals protesting there were a mixed group of misguided farmers, forced farmers ( Who could not clear their debts) and some politically motivated biassed terror group members. These Bills are of disadvantage to the middlemen hence the angst .. yes we can have a cap on LAND ACQUISITION BY an individual/group that makes sense more
Exactly Correct more
Basic problem was DISCONNECT. What prevented the Government to create awareness amongst the people, before enactments in the parliament, through radio, TV, news papers, public meetings, etc.? Even on-date, good no. of peoples (if not, majority) are unaware about why, what , etc. of the legislations. Natural laws speaks that an invasive species always overwhelms a docile species. more
It is only politics of mustering innocent farmers by creating various imaginary apprehensions. Some political parties are taking advantage of the situation. more
