The Apex Court / Supreme Court of India should take up the matter suomoto in public interest or some Advocate / NGO should take up this matter to SC of India. Burning of stubble should be banned with heavy fines / penalty / imprisonment for violators as it has become a persistent menace endangering public health at large of millions and millions human beings. more

Ms Karuna, Every year this pollution scenario happens after Diwali--schools get shut and so on--then why do we repeat the same mistakes year-after-year---before Diwali,did you,in your individual capacity,inform people at home and your neighbhours to avoid patakas this year--and did you,atleast,adhere to such a thought . Did the Ward Incharge gentlemen make an effort to spread the word , in their wards only,to desist from burning firecrackers---its very easy to point fingers at the govt and other authorities----what we need to answer is " R v doing what is reqd of us to make a difference"----there just might be the odd one here and there but by and large,we all are hypocrites----just do what is right at your home place only and see the difference---let me recount an oft-repeated saying "Charity starts but at home". more

Farming is not a new profession. Moreover farmers are doing this activity once a while where as garbage of city area is on day today basis. Adopt the principle of three Rs that is reduce reuse and recycle the garbage. Reduce transports on road which are main culprits to increase smug through exhaust and dust. Green grass reduces dust level but mentality of making every area cemented is also responsible for this smug. more

The best solution is live with Nature. Improve your physical health. Just consider that everyone is not getting affected. So it is immune power of each individual. So look after that and believe it that human body have tremendous power of adaptation. more
