farmers problems - needs to pay attention
I will write problem as well possible solution.
1. Very important - privatisation of sugar industry. Allow private players to set up sugar millls and buy farmers sugarcane. This will generate compition and farmers will get more value of their product.
Current sugar mills are looting the farmers. they give very less price of sugarcane, deduction are very heavy, money are given by the stages which is of no use.
Most of sugar mills are extremely corrupt and they donot have modern technology. So the quality of sugar is very low. Farmers are exploited by sugar mills owners. Sugar mills pay very less wages to worker. Hence no one is happy.
This sugar industry have very high potential of foriegn investment. Foriegn investment in this sector will increase technology, farmers get more money of their product, sugar quality will be good and workers will get good facility and high pays.
Exploitation will also stop.
UP and Maharastra is major sugar producing states.
BJP workers should explain this to farmers by press conference.
Same strategy should be used for other food product. more

1. After a Vigilance study , the Sugar Industry is to be redressed with the requisite regulations since this is a commercial crop and the product is forever in demand either raw , crude Molasses or processed Sugar even in Export Market . 2. The issues cited in this post are true and really the farmers and the tenancy contractors are getting deceived with the strategies opted by the Millers through the local and regional political supporters through their mediating agents . 3. The lifting of Cane is getting delayed exorbitantly making the cultivators suffer economically loosing heavy interests too . 4. Some of the Sugar Mills are financing the cultivators of different status through the Supplying agency and the delay in collecting the crop is really a hell besides the final payment after Quality Control reports . 5. There is immediate need of privatization of these Sugar Mills at the interest of the Governments and , the Agricultural Income of the Country . more
