Our Governments (all across the nation) are good starters but poor finishers.. We are good at planning after the 'Event....' There are N number of examples and some of the noteworthy ones are: 1) Cooum clean up project- Approx 10,000 crores (in today's value) might have been spent on it. But still its the same stinking river flowing in the heart of Chennai. 2) Road/Railway line Construction Projects- The land acquisition will be thought of only after spending (siphoning) 40 to 50% of the project amount. Project delay/abandonment is nobody's responsibility 3) Flood/drought Relief- Relief will quickly start before the start of next drought or flood...... Epidemic or Pandemic...nothing can affect 'Loot India Mission' more  

The Lip service shown by the Tamil nadu Government with its IAS ,IPS and Doctors wing can not bring miracle till this officers get into the field including the Ministers and check what is happening. Do not harass the Public and guide them. Police is there to show their power but who is there to check the Rates of items being sold exorbitantly including the Street vendors and fleecing the Public. opposition parties with their media is just showing that they have distributed the Rice and Packets then how the same TV and media is crying that People are not getting Food. Migrant labourers are shouting that they are being charged Rs 1000/- as per the news papers for their coming out and reaching the Railway station. To day One National party has said that they will bear the cost when they will do it. After every one reaches their house with sufferings and without food. The Tamilnadu Government has not yet moved a singly train why.? Form the above it is evident that these are all gimmicks. The Public has to be self discipline and control their Association/Street/Local Area by appointing the Local self help group. Villages and Area in Chennai should check their own rather than reading SOP very nicely written and kept on papers. The following actions are suggested : 1) Ministers and their staff should daily one location and ascertain what is the result on public spending? 2) The IAS and IPS Officers should independently and discreetly check and correct where the staff is not doing the work and making money in this time. 3) Why not these team check the shops for the availability of stores and their Prices? Why not carry out surprise checks to arrest the upward trend of Prices 4) Keep some Face Mask and Hand cleaning Chemicals and distribute where you find the same is missing 5) Carry out the Inspections and visit Morning and evening without any announcement 6) carryout surprise check on Government Ration shop and check the weights and items being distributed.An odd checking will make the staff alert including the distributor. Further ensure sufficient staff is there to distribute and avoid the crowd. Take the volunteers for such work so that the public don't have to weight and cause more gathering. The above if sincerely carried out will yield better results rather sitting and giving TV Interview on statistics. more  

This is not new in our state and we have learnt to live like this for donkeys years and this will continue. In view of the media glare easyway is learnt to say things big thro mouth and do precious little in practice. more  

Very lackadaisical approach by the state govt. No seriousness. Advisors to the govt.are also partial. No punishment for the wrong doings or disregarding the govt. orders. Imposition of fines will not solve any problem. Dubious methods will be followed in accounting. No cooperation from opposition parties. They are trying to fish in the troubled water. Worst opposition the state has seen in the recent times. Politics plays a great role even in this time catastrophe. People of the state really the sufferers. more
