Faulty reservation Policy

Faulty reservation Policy is evident from fact that quota of originating station ie Kalka of kalka-New Delhi shatabdi express is very very less than next station Chandigarh, I booked ticket today from Kalka to Delhi it was WL 15-16(PNR 221-7467506) when I checked from Chandigarh more than 550 seats were available on that day ie 29/05/2016 more

No such scheme to change berth to lower once reservation is made. more
there is whole system fall in the reservation system,. No body know the programe inadvance 120 days . It is onlyagents who book the tiket and sold them on black. If you seriously want to benefit the lakhs of people then make reservation system proper inline with people perspective. In my opinion it should be allowed only 30 days advacne.Alll other system are done only to give interest free advance to the railway . Scrap the system and put the pilot system for 30 day trial and see the difference..Love for country and love for pride....Jai HInd more
one more fault in reservation is Birth allotment, if any senior citizen or a female with a child travels alone they does'nt get lower birth or birth of their own choice before payment & hence they can not change dates if possible because many times it is immpossible to travel in such circumstances so a choice should always be given before payments more
A few weeks back I read in mthe news papers that senior citizens who are allotted upper berths can apply for change of berth before chart preparation. Recently my wife and myself (both senior citizens) travelled to Bangalore from Kochuveli. Both were allotted upper berths. On inquiry at Trivandrum central I was told that their is no such orders. Can anybody clarify if there is a provision to change berths if allotted upper berths? more
The current reservation policy is faulty. I had experience of wail listed tickets (W/L1 and 2) remaining W/L 1 & 2 till the departure of the train. Passengers who book in tatkal get their tickets confirmed easily, where as those who book 3 months in advance remail wait listed. Railway keep our money in their account for 3 months and pay us no interest. At the end they just refund the money denying us a berth. Tatkal passengers, at the last moment, pay a premium get into the train and travel. Pasengers who plan their journey in advance become fools. If railway cannot confirm even W/L 1 & 2 why should they have a waiting list at all? Is the only objective of railway to make money? more
