FD encash
Hi, i do have a 8 years old FD on my name, done by my father at allahabad bank. I do not have any account in that bank. So.e how my name written on fd is wrong. What could be availble ways to get it encash. Intead of amit name mentionef is amrit there. more

my cell number they have entered wrongly and later after 10 years they corrected. As it was a joint account with my mother it did not become a big problem more

it is a pity that the name on FD got unchecked for so long by your father and yourself. If your father is still there, it will be easier for him to get it corrected since he may be having his account in that branch and he will all the proof etc. However, if you were minor when the FD was made and the name was mentioned wrongly in the pay in slip, then it could be a problem, but if it is bank mistake, which can be checked very easily from the FD form filled in by your father, then, the bank should encash the FD in your name . more

AS suggested by Mr. Gupta, you first check up from the bank records what application was made, if that is clerical error that can be corrected. However, the applicant will have to be there.
If not then the procedure becomes very complicated and lengthy. Before getting into details, you can discuss with the banker who would give you suggestions. Else please feel free to contact me back for any advise.

Please verify the original pay in slip where your father has written your name. They must have written correct name. If there is a mistake of bank in issuing the fd, there is no problem. Bank has to correct the name. more

you will have to give an affidavit that you are the same person bearing themultiple names and son of such and such after the due process of law more

In every Bank, there is an Indemnity form. By executing the indemnity deed, you can have the amount in Your Account. more
