FD Rates

FD Rates should be fixed at higher rate for Sr Citizens upto a limit. For example, Sr. Citizen FD rates should be 7% fixed for next 3 years upto FD of 10lakhs. Beyond that, it should be rates as applicable. This would safeguard non-pension citizens more

It is not just the rates of FDs but the most important is increasing TDS limit of Rs.5000/Rs.10000/- . Filing of 15G / 15H Forms. These forms need to be centralized or should be linked to aadhaar. Lot of paper work and administrative work and time as well as inconvenience to Honest Citizens can be saved. It can also relieve the Income Tax staff who can concentrate on real evaders of taxes and tax defaulters. more  
for senior citizens govt should give as many as facilities should be given.how many people are there above 80 yrs..in india.. more  
Mr Ranabir Ghosh Numerous schemes are available. Nothing is guaranteed in the life. One Should Opt for dividend if in the highest tax bracket.Otherwise it is not beneficial. Alternate methods are there to maximise the return. Let us join and exchange ideas / views more
